shrImadakalaMka paripUrNa shashikoTi-

-shrIdhara manohara saTapaTala kAnta |

pAlaya kRupAlaya bhavAmbudhinimaGnaM

daityavarakAla narasiMha narasiMha || 1 ||

pAdakamalAvanata pAtakijanAnAM |

pAtakadavAnala patatrivaraketo |

bhAvanA parAyaNa bhavArtiharayA mAM |

pAhi kRupayeva narasiMha narasiMha || 2 ||

tuMganakhapaMktadalitasuravarAsRK |

paMkanavakumumavipaMkilamahoraH |

paNDitanidhAna kamalAlaya namaste |

paMkajaniShaNa narasiMha narasiMha || 3 ||

mauliShu vibhUShNamivAmaravarANAM |

yogihRudayeShu cha shiRaH sunigamAnAm |

rAjadavarinda ruchiraM padayugaM te |

dehi mama mUrdhni narasiMha narasiMha || 4 ||

vArijavilocana madantimadashAyAM |

kleshavishI kRuta samastakaraN AyAM |

ehi ramayA saha sharaNya vihagAnAM-

-nAthamadhiruhyA narasiMha narasiMha || 5 ||

hATakakIrItavarahA ravanamAlA |

bhUShitamasheshanilayaM tava vapurmA |

chetasi chakAstu narasiMha narasiMha || 6 ||

indu ravi pA vaka vilochana ramAyAH |

mandira mahAbhujalasadvararathAMga |

sundarA cirAya ramatAM tvayi mano me |

nandita sureIsha narasiMha narasiMha || 7 ||

mAdhava mukumda madhusUdana murArE |

vAmana nRuSiMh araNaM bhava natAnAM |

kAmada ghRuIni nikhilakAraNa nayeyAM |

kAlAmamareIsha narasiMha narasiMha || 8 ||

aShTakaMidaM sakalapAtakabhayaghanaM |

kAmadamasheshaduritAmayaripughanaM |

yaH paThati santatamasheshanilayaM te |

gacChati padaM sa narasiMha narasiMha || 9 ||

English Translation

Oh Narasimha, who is without blemish, complete as a million moons,

Whose form is enchanting with a radiant forehead,

Oh abode of mercy, protect me who am immersed in the ocean of existence,

The death to the enemy demon, Oh Narasimha, Oh Narasimha.

To the sinful people who bow at your lotus feet,

You are like the fire that destroys sins, the banner of the sun god,

You are the refuge, the destroyer of worldly existence,

Oh Narasimha, protect me with your compassion alone, Oh Narasimha.

In whose long nails the enemy demons were torn,

Like rows of bees intoxicated with the pollen of lotus flowers,

Salutations to you, abode of the wise, seated in the lotus,

Oh Narasimha, enemy of the lotus-born (Brahma), Oh Narasimha.

Who are adorned on the heads like a jewel among immortals,

Whose heads are bowed to in the hearts of yogis,

Oh Narasimha, give to my head your lotus-like radiant feet,

Which are worshipped by kings like a cloud that grants rain.

Oh Lord of birds (Garuda), whose eyes are like lotuses,

Whose enemy is the mind's delusion in the intoxicated elephant of passion,

Come and ride on the bird (Garuda) along with Rama,

Having mounted the Lord, Oh Narasimha, Oh Narasimha.

Adorned with a golden crown, necklace and garland,

With armlets, bracelets, and beautiful jewels,

Your body, which is the abode of all,

May shine in my consciousness, Oh Narasimha, Oh Narasimha.

Whose eyes are like the moon, sun, and fire,

In whose great arm rests the beautiful bow,

Who is ever-pleasing and in whom the mind of the ever-blissful Indra rejoices,

Oh Lord of the gods, Oh Narasimha, Oh Narasimha.

Oh Madhava, Mukunda, Madhusudana, slayer of Mura,

Oh Vamana, Oh Narasimha, refuge of those who bow before you,

Destroyer of desire and anger, the controller of all causes,

Oh Lord of death, Oh Narasimha, Oh Narasimha.

This octet, which destroys all sins and the fear of suffering,

Which is desire-granting and destroys masses of misfortune,

Whoever recites it continuously, knowing your eternal abode,

Attains your feet, Oh Narasimha, Oh Narasimha.
